      Specijalne snage Glavnog ravnateljstva Generalštaba ruskih oružanih snaga (Части и подразделения специального назначения (спецназ) Главного управления Генерального штаба Вооружённых сил Российской Федерации (specnaz)), poznato pod nazivom Spetsnaz G.U. ili Spetsnaz GRU su specijalne snage (spetsnaz) vojno-obavještajne agencije Oružanih snaga Ruske Federacije.

      Spetsnaz GRU osnovan je 1949. godine, prvi u Sovjetskom Savezu, kao vojna snaga Glavne obavještajne uprave (GRU), vojne obavještajne agencije sovjetskih oružanih snaga. Snaga je dizajnirana u kontekstu hladnog rata za izviđanje i sabotažu neprijateljskih ciljeva u obliku specijalnih izviđačkih i izravnih napada. Spetsnaz GRU nadahnuo je dodatne snage spetsnaza povezane s drugim sovjetskim obavještajnim agencijama, poput skupine Vympel i Alpha KGB-a.

      Special Forces of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces (Части и подразделения специального назначения (спецназ) Главного управления Генерального штаба Вооружённых сил Российской Федерации (СпН ГУ ГШ ВС РФ)), commonly known as the Spetsnaz G.U. or Spetsnaz GRU is the special forces (spetsnaz) of the G.U., the foreign military intelligence agency of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

      The Spetsnaz GRU was formed in 1949, the first spetsnaz force in the Soviet Union, as the military force of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), the foreign military intelligence agency of the Soviet Armed Forces. The force was designed in the context of the Cold War to carry out reconnaissance and sabotage against enemy targets in the form of special reconnaissance and direct action attacks. The Spetsnaz GRU inspired additional spetsnaz forces attached to other Soviet intelligence agencies, such as the Vympel and Alpha Group of the KGB.

SPECIAL PURPOSE TROOPS INSIGNIA    OZNAKA JEDINICA SPECIJALNE NAMJENE

      Oznake za rukav jedinica za posebne namjene (Spetsnaz) ruskih oružanih snaga odobrena je 21. 10. 2000. Znak je okruglog oblika od tkanine crne boje s narančastim obrubom. U središtu znaka, na pozadini stilizirane slike cvijeta crvenog karanfila s laticama od pet zuba, nalazi se zlatni dvoglavi orao raširenih krila koji drži srebrnu strelicu i srebrnu granatu sa tri plamena; na prsima orla nalazi se izduženi trokutasti crveni štit sa stabljikom koja se uzdiže do krune; u štitu je konjanik koji kopljem ubija zmaja, Sveti Đorđe. Ovi heraldički simboli odražavaju posebnosti formacija trupa posebne namjene (Spetsnaz) Oružanih Snaga Ruske Federacije.

      Elementi amblema: Granata sa tri plamena, historijski amblem Grenadira, simbol je najbolje obučenih vojnika elitnih jedinica Ruske vojske koji su poznati po izvrsnim borbenim vještinama, obučenosti i sposobnosti za izvođenje složenih borbenih i posebnih zadataka. Granata simbolizira nastavak slavne vojne tradicije ruske vojske. Crveni karanfil simbol je snage, predanosti, nefleksibilnosti i odlučnosti u postizanju ciljeva - najvažnijih karakteristika vojnika Spetsnaza. Strelica je simbol predanosti i stalne spremnosti snaga za izvršavanje posebnih zadataka u posebnim okolnostima.

      The emblem’s elements: The grenade of three flames – the historic emblem of the Grenadiers – is the symbol of the best-trained soldiers of the elite units of the Russian Army who are known for excellent combat skills, training and ability to perform complex combat and special tasks. The grenade symbolizes the continuation of the glorious military traditions of the Russian Army. The red carnation is a symbol of strength, devotion, inflexibility and determination in reaching goals – the most important characteristics of the Spetsnaz soldiers. The arrow is a symbol of commitment and constant readiness of the forces to perform special tasks in special circumstances.
