      Avio-svemirske snage (Воздушно-космические силы Российской Федерации) su jedna of tri grane Oružanih snaga Ruske Federacije, kreirane radi vođenja borbenih operacija, prvenstveno u zraku i svemiru, kako bi osigurali odbranu I sigurnost Ruske Federacije. Nastali su 2015. godine kao rezultat ujedinjenja Ratnog zrakoplovstva (Avijacije) i Zračno-svemirskih obrambenih snaga (ВВКО). Osnovani su 01. 08. 2015. u skladu s dekretom predsjednika Ruske Federacije. Komanda zračno-svemirske odbrane Rusije je pod upravom Glavnog štaba OSRF-a i Komande Zračno-svemirskih snaga. Glavni štab Zračno-svemirskih snaga nalazi se u zgradi Ministarstva obrane Ruske Federacije, koja se nalazi u Moskvi, u području Arbata. Praznik ovih jedinica se slavi svake godine 01. 08.

      The Aerospace Forces (Воздушно-космические силы Российской Федерации) is one of the three branches of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, designed to conduct combat operations primarily in the air and outer space in order to ensure the defense and security of the Russian Federation. VKS began to fulfill the tasks set on August 1, 2015 in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The general leadership of the aerospace defense of Russia is carried out by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, and the direct command of the Aerospace Forces. The main headquarters of the Aerospace Forces is located in the building of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, located in the Arbat area, on Znamenka Street in Moscow. Professional holiday - Day of the Aerospace Forces is celebrated annually on August 12.

      Avijacija Ruske Federacije (Военно-воздушные cилы России) su zračne sile Rusije. Sa svojih 2.749 aviona predstavljaju drugu po brojnosti avio silu u svijetu. Uz ove snage i Ruska mornarica ima svoje zračne snage Ruske mornaričku avijaciju koja je nasljednik bivše sovjetske avijacije morske flote. Od raspada Sovjetkog saveza je počelo smanjivanje avijacijskih snaga (u doba Borisa Jelcina) ali se dolaskom Vladimira Putina za predsjednika Ruske Federacije ponovo jačaju vojne snage u cjelini, pa tako i avijacija.

      The Russian Air Force (Военно-воздушные cилы России) is the air force of  Russia. With 2.749 aircraft, it is the second largest Air Force in the world. The Russian Navy has its own air arm, the Russian Naval Aviation, which is the former Soviet Aviatsiya Voyenno Morskogo Flota ("Naval Aviation"), or AV-MF). The Air Force was formed from parts of the former Soviet Air Force after the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991-92. Boris Yeltsin's creation of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation on May 7, 1992, can be taken as a convenient formation date for the new Air Force. Since that time, the Air Force has suffered severe setbacks due to lack of resources, and has constantly shrunk in size. Since Vladimir Putin became President of the Russian Federation however, much more money has been allocated to the Armed Forces as a whole.

LONG RANGE AVIATION  AVIJACIJA DALEKOG DOMETA  Зенитные ракетные войска

      Avijacija dalekog dometa (Зенитные ракетные войска) je oružje vrhovne komande oružanih snaga RF i namjenjeno je za provođenje strateških i operativnih zadataka u ratnim uvjetima. Ove jedinice su sastavni dio strateških nuklearnih snaga. Formacije ovih jedinica su bazirane, s obzirom na njihove operativno-strateške zadatke od Novgoroda na zapadu do Andyra i Ussurijska na istoku te od Tiksija na sjeveru do Blagoveščenska na jugu zemlje. Osnovu ovih jedinica čine nosači raketa Tu-160 i Tu-95MS, bombarderi velikog dometa Tu-22M3, zračni tankeri Il-78 i izviđački avioni TU-22MR. Glavna su im oružja krstareće rakete velikog dometa i operativno-taktičke rakete sa nuklearnim i konvencionalnim bombama, kao i avio-bombe raznih namjena i kalibara.

      Long-range aviation LRA (Зенитные ракетные войска) is a weapon of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and is designed to implement strategic (operational-strategic) and operational tasks in the seats of war (strategic directions). Long-range aviation is a component of strategic nuclear forces. Formations and units of the LRA are based, taking into account its operational-and-strategic mission and objectives, from Novgorod in the west to Anadyr and Ussuriysk in the east, from Tiksi in the north to Blagoveshchensk in the south of country. The basis of the aircraft fleet are strategic missile carriers Tu-160 and Tu-95MS, long-distance missile-bombers Tu-22M3, refueling aircraft tankers Il-78 and reconnaissance aircraft TU-22MR. The main armament of aircraft is as following: aircraft cruise missiles of long distance and operational-tactical missiles using nuclear and conventional weapons as well as aviation bombs of various purposes and calibers.

Войска противовоздушной и противоракетной обороны

      Jedinice protuzračne i proturaketne obrane - do 1998. su bile samostalna vrsta oružanih snaga (Snage protivavionske odbrane). Godine 1998. Snage protuavionske obrane spojene su s Ratnom avijacijom u novu granu oružanih snaga – Avijacija. U 2010. sve formacije protuavionske obrane ruske ratne avijacije (4 korpusa i 7 divizija protuzračne obrane) preustrojene su u 11 brigada zračne obrane. Godine 2011. tri brigade protuavionske obrane Ratnog zrakoplovstva ušle su u sastav nove grane Oružanih snaga – Snaga avio-svemirske obrane. Snage protuavionske odbrane Zračno-kozmičkih snaga (Войска ПВО-ПРО ВКС) treba razlikovati od snaga protuavionske obrane Kopnene vojske (Войск ПВО Сухопутных войск).

      Air and missile defense troops - until 1998, an independent type of armed forces (Air Defense Forces). In 1998, the Air Defense Forces were merged with the Air Force in a new branch of the armed forces - the Air Force. In 2010 all air defense formations of the Russian Air Force (4 corps and 7 air defense divisions) were reorganized into 11 aerospace defense brigades. In 2011, three air defense brigades of the Air Force became part of a new branch of the Armed Forces - the Aerospace Defense Forces. The Air Defense Forces of the Aerospace Forces (Войска ПВО-ПРО ВКС) should be distinguished from the Air Defense Forces of the Ground Forces (Войск ПВО Сухопутных войск).

      Ruske svemirske snage (Космические войска России) grana su ruskih avio-svemirskih snaga, koje pružaju avio-svemirsko upozorenje, štite zračni i svemirski suverenitet i pružaju drugu srodnu zaštitu Rusije. Ponovno je uspostavljena nakon spajanja Ruske vojne avijacije i Ruskih avio-svemirskih obrambenih snaga 01. 08. 2015. nakon što je samostalna grana službe raspuštena 2011.

      The Russian Space Forces (Космические войска России) are a branch of the Russian Aerospace Forces, that provides aerospace warning, air and space sovereignty, and other related protection for Russia. Having been reestablished following August 1, 2015 merger between the Russian Air Force and the Russian Aerospace Defence Forces after the independent arm of service was dissolved in 2011.

      Kozmodrom Pleseck (1-й Государственный Краснознаменный Ордена Трудового Красного Знамени испытательный космодром) je sovjetski i ruski kozmodrom koji osigurava dio ruskih svemirskih programa vezanih uz obranu, kao i primijenjena, znanstvena i komercijalna lansiranja bespilotnih letjelica. Jedina je operativna svemirska luka u Europi.

      The Plesetsk Cosmodrome (1-й Государственный Краснознаменный Ордена Трудового Красного Знамени испытательный космодром ) is a Soviet and Russian cosmodrome that provides part of the Russian space programs related to defense, as well as applied, scientific and commercial launches of unmanned spacecraft. The only operating spaceport in Europe.

      Oznaka za rukav izrađena je od platna u obliku kruga tamnoplave boje s plavim rubom. U sredini oznake nalazi se stilizirana slika zlatne svemirske rakete za lansiranje s razrijeđenim servisnim jedinicama na pozadini plave nebeske sfere i zlatnog sjevernog svjetla. Ispod amblema na razvijajućih vrpci nalaze se, s desne strane Red Crvene zastave, s lijeve strane - Red Crvene zastave rada.

      The sleeve patch is made of cloth in the shape of a circle in dark blue with a blue edging. In the center of the sleeve insignia there is a stylized image of a golden launching space rocket with diluted service units against the background of a blue sky sphere and golden northern lights. Under the emblem - the image of developing ribbons: on the right of the Order of the Red Banner, on the left - the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
