      Puni naziv ministarstva je Federalna služba postrojbi nacionalne garde Ruske Federacije (Федеральная служба войск национальной гвардии Российской Федерации). U službenim dokumentima može se spominjati romaniziranim akronimom FSVNG RF (FSVNG RF). U ruskom se uobičajeno koristi manje službeni akronim Rosgvardija (Rosgvardiâ, doslov. "Ruska garda").

      The ministry's full name is the Federal National Guard Troops Service of the Russian Federation (Федеральная служба войск национальной гвардии Российской Федерации; Federalʹnaya sluzhba voiysk natsionalʹnoiy gvardii Rossiiyskoiy Federatsii). In official documents, it may be referred to by the romanized acronym FSVNG RF (ФСВНГ РФ). In Russian, the less formal acronym Rosgvardiya (Росгвардия, lit. "Russian Guard") is commonly used.

      Uspostava Nacionalne garde smatra se pokušajem povećanja učinkovitosti i izbjegavanja dupliciranja odgovornosti unutar ruskog sigurnosnog sustava, što je rezultat opsežne procjene strateških izazova koji se postavljaju pred Rusiju. Nacionalna garda broji cca. 340 000 ljudi u 84 jedinice širom Rusije i konsolidira snage unutarnjih trupa MVD-a, SOBR-a, OMON-a i drugih unutarnjih vojnih snaga izvan ruskih Oružanih snaga. Osnovana je 2016. godine zakonom koji je potpisao predsjednik Vladimir Putin. Nacionalnoj gardi deklarirana misija je osigurati ruske granice, preuzeti nadzor nad oružjem, boriti se protiv terorizma i organiziranog kriminala, štititi javni red i čuvati važne državne objekte.

      The establishment of the National Guard is seen as an effort to enhance efficiency and avoid duplication of responsibilities within the Russian security system, a result of an extensive assessment of strategic challenges posed to Russia. The National Guard numbers approx. 340,000 personnel in 84 units across Russia and consolidated the forces of the MVD Internal Troops, SOBR, OMON and other internal military forces outside of the Russian Armed Forces. The federal executive body was established in 2016 by a law signed by President Vladimir Putin. Its stated mission is to secure Russia's borders, take charge of gun control, combat terrorism and organized crime, protect public order and guard important state facilities.

      Za upravljanje vojnim jedinicama (pododsjecima) postoje okruzi jedinica Nacionalne garde na teritorijama, u pravilu, istoimenih federalnih okruga u Rusiji. Iznimka je Istočni okrug trupa Nacionalne garde, koji upravlja vojnim jedinicama (pododsjecima) stacioniranim na području Dalekoistočnog federalnog okruga. Rapoređeni su u osam okruga i to: Središnji okrug NG sa sjedištem u Moskvi, Sjeverozapadni okrug NG sa upravom u St. Petersburgu, Povolški okrug trupa NG - Nižnji Novgorod, Južni okrug trupa NG sa centralom u Rostovu na Donu, Sjevernokavkaski okrug trupa NG u Pjatigorsku, Uralski okrug snaga NG u  Jekaterinburgu, Sibirski okrug trupa Nacionalne garde ima upravu u Novosibirsku te Istočni okrug u Habarovsku.

      For the management of military units (subdivisions), there are districts of the National Guard Troops in the territories, as a rule, of the federal districts of the same name in Russia. The exception is the Eastern District of the National Guard Troops, which manages military units (subdivisions) stationed on the territory of the Far Eastern Federal District. Names of counties and cities in which they are deployed: Central District of the National Guard Troops in Moscow; Northwestern District - St. Petersburg; Volga District of the NG Troops in Nizhny Novgorod; Southern District of the National Guard Troops in Rostov-on-Don; North Caucasian District of the National Guard Troops in Pyatigorsk; Ural District of the National Guard Troops in Yekaterinburg,  Siberian District of the National Guard Troops in Novosibirsk and  Eastern District of the National Guard Troops in Khabarovsk.

CENTRAL DISTRICT  CENTRALNI OKRUG   Центральный округ

      Središnji Orsha-Khinganski red Žukova Crvenog barjaka Okrug Nacionalne garde (Центральный Оршанско-Хинганский Краснознамённый округ Войск национальной гвардии) datira iz 1919. Godine 2008. Moskovski okrug pretvoren je u Središnje regionalno zapovjedništvo unutarnjih postrojbi Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova Rusije. Aktivnosti jedinica Ministarstva unutarnjih poslova prebačenih u Rusku gardu provode teritorijalna tijela postrojbi Nacionalne garde u 18 subjekata Središnjeg federalnog okruga.

      The Central Orsha-Khingan Order of Zhukov The Red Banner District of the National Guard Troops (Центральный Оршанско-Хинганский Краснознамённый округ Войск национальной гвардии) dates back to 1919. In 2008, the Moscow District was transformed into the Central Regional Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The activities of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs transferred to the Russian Guard are carried out by the territorial bodies of the National Guard Troops in 18 subjects of the Central Federal District.

NORTH WESTERN DISTRICT  SJEVERNO-ZAPADNI OKRUG  Северо-западный округ

      Jedinice i administracija koje su dio Sjeverozapadnog okruga (Северо-Западный ордена Красной Звезды округ Войск национальной гвардии) nalaze se na teritoriju 11 subjekata Ruske Federacije (Arhangelska oblast, Vologdska oblast, Kalinjingradska oblast, Republika Karelija, Republika Komi, Lenjingradska oblast, Murmanska oblast , Nenecki autonomni okrug, Novgorodska oblast, Pskovska oblast i Sankt Peterburg). Sjedište Sjeverozapadnog okruga je u Sankt Peterburgu.

      Currently, territorial administrations, military units that are part of the North-Western District (Северо-Западный ордена Красной Звезды округ Войск национальной гвардии) are located on the territory of 11 subjects of the Russian Federation (Arkhangelsk Region, Vologda Region, Kaliningrad Region, Republic of Karelia, Komi Republic, Leningrad Region, Murmansk Region, Nenets Autonomous district, Novgorod region, Pskov region and St. Petersburg).

      Znak na rukavu izrađen je u obliku trokutastog štita sa zaobljenim stranama kestenjaste boje s resama zlatne boje. Na vrhu štita nalazi se traka Reda Crvene zvijezde i jahač (Sv. Đorđe) srebrne boje koji kopljem pogađa sivog zmaja. Na dnu su dva dijagonalno ukrštena mača s oštricama prema gore. Oštrice mačeva su srebrne, drške zlatne.

      The sleeve insignia is made in the form of a triangular with rounded sides’ shield of maroon color with a fringing of golden color. At the top of the shield is a ribbon of the Order of the Red Star and a rider (St. George) of silver color, striking a gray dragon with a spear. At the bottom are two diagonally crossed swords with blades up. The blades of the swords are silver, the hilt is golden.

PRIVOLZHYE (VOLGA) DISTRICT  POVOLŠKI (VOLGA) OKRUG  Приволжский округ

      Oznake za desni rukav vojnog osoblja i zaposlenika odjela Povolškog okruga Ruske garde izrađene su u obliku trokutastog kestenjastog štita sa zaobljenim stranama sa zlatnim rubom. Na vrhu štita je srebrni konjanik koji kopljem ubija sivog zmaja. U donjem dijelu dijagonalno su ukrštene dvije srebrne sjekire sa zlatnim drškama. Oznake na terenskoj uniformi su maslinasta boja polja a rubovi i likovi u štitu su boje pistacija. Oznake na rukavima odobrene su Naredbom Savezne službe jedinica Nacionalne garde Ruske Federacije od 11. 01. 2018. br. 6.

      The sleeve insignia of the military personnel and employees of the department of the Volga District of the Russian Guard is made in the form of a triangular maroon shield with rounded sides with a golden edging. At the top of the shield is a silver horseman slaying a gray dragon with a spear. In the lower part, two silvery axes with golden handles are crossed diagonally. For a sleeve insignia on a field uniform: the color of the field is olive, and the edging and figures in the shield are pistachio. The sleeve insignia was approved by the Order of the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation dated January 11, 2018 No. 6.

SOUTHERN DISTRICT  JUŽNI OKRUG    Южный округ

      Oznake za desni rukav uniformi vojnog osoblja i zaposlenika Južnog okruga Ruske garde izrađene su u obliku trokutastog štita kestenjaste boje sa zaobljenim stranama sa zlatnim rubom. Na vrhu štita je srebrni konjanik koji kopljem ubija sivog zmaja. U donjem dijelu štita postavljena su dvije sablje (šaške) ukrštene dijagonalno s oštricama prema gore. Oštrice sablji su srebrne, ručke zlatne. Za oznaku na terenskoj odori: boja polja je maslinasta, a rubovi i likovi u štitu su boje pistacija. Oznake na rukavima odobrene su Naredbom Savezne službe jedinica Nacionalne garde Ruske Federacije od 11. 01. 2018. br. 6.

NORTH CAUCASIAN DISTRICT  SJEVERNOKAVKASKI OKRUG  Северо-кавказкий округ

      Oznake rukava vojnog osoblja i zaposlenika odjela Sjevernokavkaskog okruga Ruske garde izrađene su u obliku trokutastog štita kestenjaste boje sa zaobljenim stranama sa zlatnim rubom. Na vrhu štita je srebrni konjanik koji kopljem ubija sivog zmaja. U donjem dijelu nalaze se dva bodeža (kindžala) ukrštena dijagonalno s oštricama prema gore. Oštrice bodeža su srebrne, drške zlatne. Za oznaku na rukavu terenske uniforme: boja polja je maslinasta, a rubovi i likovi u štitu su boje pistacija. Oznake na rukavima odobrene su Naredbom Savezne službe postrojbi Nacionalne garde Ruske Federacije od 11. 01. 2018. br. 6.

URAL DISTRICT  URALSKI OKRUG    Уральский округ

SIBERIAN DISTRICT  SIBIRSKI OKRUG    Сибирский округ

      Oznake na rukavu uniforme vojnih i administrativnih pripadnika Sibirskog okruga Ruske Nacionalne garde izrađene su u obliku trokutastog štita sa zaobljenim stranama kestenjaste boje s resama zlatne boje. Na vrhu štita je jahač srebrne boje koji kopljem udara sivog zmaja. Pri dnu su koso ukrštene dvije zlatne strelice sa srebrnim vrhovima. Za oznake na rukavima na terenskoj uniformi: boja polja je maslinasta, a rubovi i likovi u štitu su u boji pistacija.

      The sleeve insignia of the military and administrative officers of the Siberian District of the Russian Guard is made in the form of a triangular with rounded sides’ shield of maroon color with a fringing of golden color. At the top of the shield is a rider of silver color, striking a gray dragon with a spear. Two golden arrows with silver tips are diagonally crossed at the bottom. For the sleeve insignia on the field uniform: the color of the field is olive, and the edging and figures in the shield are pistachio-colored.

EASTERN DISTRICT  ISTOČNI OKRUG    Восточный  округ
