Austrijske Oružane snage tvore vojnu silu Republike Austrije. Njihov vrhovni zapovjednik je Austrijski predsjednik, koji preko ministra obrane i njegovih podređenih obavlja svoju funkciju. U vrijeme mira, vojska se sastoji od profesionalnih vojnika, obveznika i stalnih zaposlenika. Vojne snage uključuju i teritorijalne jedinice. Same Oružane snage su podijeljene u Kopnenu vojsku, avijaciju i specijalne jedinice. Nakon što je 2010. završila svoje prestrukturiranje u svojem sastavu ima 21.000 profesionalnih vojnika, 24.000 rezervista te 10.000 ostalih uposlenih u vojsci (od činovnika u ministarstvima, vojnom školstvu, raznim upravama i pratećim službama), sveukupno 55.000 pripadnika.

     Bundesheer ili Savezna vojska nosi to ime još od 1921. godine (osim u periodu 1938.-1945., kada su bili dio nacističke Njemačke). 1955. Austrija proglašava "vječnu neutralnost" i uvrštava je u Ustavni zakon. Od tad je glavni zadatak Austrijske vojske očuvanje neutralnosti. Oružane snage se dijele na: Kopnenu vojsku (Kommando Landstreitkräfte), Avijaciju (Kommando Luftstreitkräfte), Logistiku misija (Kommando Einsatzunterstützung), Internacionalne misije (Kommando Internationale Einsätze) i Specijalne snage (Kommando Spezialeinsatzkräfte). 

     The Austrian Armed Forces form the armed power of the Republic of Austria. Their Commander-in-Chief is the Austrian Federal President, while the Minister of Defence exercises his power of supreme command by way of his offices and subordinated commanders. In times of peace, the Army comprises professional soldiers, further employees and conscripts. The task force organisation also includes militia soldiers. The Armed Forces are divided into the air force, landbased and special forces. After having reached its final overhauled structure in 2010, personnel is expected to be of the following strength: Armed Forces Command together with Mission Support Command: 21,000 officials 24,000 militia soldiers all 45,000.  In addition to these, employees of the Central Command (Ministry of Defence), of further offices, academies and schools contribute to a total troop strength of 55,000, including a pool of experts drawn from militia.

     The name of the Military of Austria is Bundesheer ("Federal Army") known  since 1921, except when Austria was a part of Nazi Germany (1938-1945). In 1955, Austria declared its Everlasting Neutrality and made neutrality a constitutional law. The Austrian Military's main purpose since then has been the protection of Austria's neutrality. The main branches since the last structural reform are Land Forces (Kommando Landstreitkräfte; KdoLaSK), Air Forces (Kommando Luftstreitkräfte; KdoLuSK), Mission Support (Kommando Einsatzunterstützung; KdoEU), International Missions (Kommando Internationale Einsätze; KdoIE), Command Support (Kommando Führungsunterstützung; KdoFüU) and Special Forces (Kommando Spezialeinsatzkräfte; KdoSEK).

JOINT FORCES COMMAND  KOMANDA ZDRUŽENIH SNAGA

      Komanda združenih snaga (Streitkräftefürungskommando) je zadužena za obuku, upravljanje i raspoređivanje trupa unutar Austrije i van zemlje. Sa svojih 450 zaposlenika, stacioniranih u Grazu i Salzburgu, ova Komanda nadgleda snage koje broje preko 80% pripadnika Austrijskih oružanih snaga. Komanda združenih snaga pod svojom upravom ima 2 mehanizirane briagde, 2 pješadijske brigade, dva bataljona veze, specijalne snage, nadzor zračnog prostora, komandu avijacijske podrške, vojnu policiju, 9 regionalnih komandi te centar za međunarodne operacije i centar za pripremu operacija.

      The Joint Forces Command (Streitkräftefürungskommando) trains, manages and deploys troops within Austria and abroad. With its 450 employees stationed in Graz and Salzburg, the command oversees a force of around 80 percent of the Austrian Armed Forces' personnel.

COMMAND SUPPORT BATTALION 1  1. KOMANDNI BATALJON PODRŠKE

      1. Komandni bataljon podrške (Führungsunterstützungsbataillon 1 FüUB1) direktno izvještava Zapovjedništvo oružanih snaga. Jedinica može pružiti zatvorenu ili modularnu podršku, ovisno o potrebama komande ili jedinica u pogledu IKT-a (informacijske i komunikacijske tehnologije). FüUB1 je smješten u kasarni Lutschounig u Villachu.

      Oznaka jedinice ima osnovni oblik francuskog trokutastog štita. Štit je podijeljen okomito. U desnom dijelu znaka nalazi se stilizirana crno-srebrna munja koja se kreće od vrha desno dolje lijevo na crveno-bijelo-crvenoj pozadini. Na lijevom dijelu značke, na žutoj pozadini, nalazi se grb grada Beljaka (Villach). Na vrhu značke je srebrnim slovima na crnoj pozadini ispisano "FüUB 1".

      Command Support Battalion 1 (Führungsunterstützungsbataillon 1 FüUB1) reports directly to the Armed Forces Command. The unit can provide closed or modular support depending on the deployment requirements of the troop in terms of ICT (information and communication technology). The FüUB1 is based in the Lutschounig barracks in Villach.

      The unit insignia has the basic shape of a French triangular shield. The shield is split vertically. In the right part of the badge is a stylized black, silver edged flash that runs from top right to bottom left on a red-white-red background. In the left part of the badge, on a yellow background, is the coat of arms of Villach. At the top of the badge is the lettering "FüUB 1" in silver letters on a black background.
