SPECIAL FORCES  SPECIJALNE SNAGE   Jagdkommando

      In 1961, a group of Austrian officers participated in the US Army's Ranger School as part of their training in order to set up a similar course for the eventual establishment of Jagdkommando. Since then, the officers and soldiers of Jagdkommando continued to evolve by taking part in similar courses in the United States and all over Europe and by combining the lessons learned with "homegrown" tactics and knowledge.

      In order to become a Jagdkommando soldier, a member of the Austrian Armed Forces has to take the Grundkurs ("Basic Course"). The Grundkurs is a 27-week training course, during which potential future Jagdkommando soldiers are pushed to the limits in a variety of disciplines. The essentials of this course include: alpine training, swimming training, parachuting, combat training, close-quarter combat, medical training,  survival training, military hand-to-hand combat, explosives training etc. Only upon successful completion of the course, the typically small percentage of soldiers who passed are awarded the highly prestigious insignia for wearing on their uniform and become members of the Jagdkommando.

      1. logistička regimenta (Versorgungsregiment 1, VR1) logistička je jedinica austrijskih oružanih snaga (ÖBH) čiji su glavni zadaci upravljanje transportom, formiranje logističkih baza u zemlji i inozemstvu, kao i snabdijevanje u inozemstvu. VR1 je osnovana 01. 09. 1957. i podijeljena je u: štab, te četiri  jedinice podrške. 1999. godine četiri su čete preseljene u Kasarne Kirchner u Grazu. 01. 12.  2002. regimenta  prelazi pod novostvoreno Zapovjedništvo za operativnu potporu (KdoEU) u Beču.  2008. godine 4. NTKp reorganizirana je sa pripadnicima 1. Izviđačkog bataljona preostale u Gratkornu.

      1^st Supply Regiment (Versorgungsregiment 1, VR1) is the logistics unit of the Austrian Armed Forces (ÖBH). The main tasks of the regiment are transport management, the formation of logistical bases at home and abroad, as well as the supply of connections abroad. VR1 was established on September 1, 1957. 1^st Supply Regiment is divided into: Staff company, 1^st replenishment and transport company (squad presence unit for foreign assignments, 2^nd-4^th  Supply and transport company and Workshop company. In 1999, four VR1 companies relocated to the Kirchner barracks in Graz. On December 1, 2002, the VR1 was placed under the newly created Command Operation Support (KdoEU) in Vienna. From 2007 to 2011 the regiment, with the exception of the 2nd NTKp, moved to the Hackher barracks of the new Gratkorn garrison. In 2008 the 4th NTKp was reorganized from the personnel of 1^st reconnaissance battalion remaining in Gratkorn.

RIVER PATROLS  RIJEČNA FLOTILA

      Austrijska vojska 1958 godine počinje koristiti patrolni brod „RPC Oberst Brecht“ za kontrolu plovidbe Dunavom. Dvanaest godina kasnije naručuju veći brod „RPB Niederösterreich“. Jedinicu su sačinjavala dva oficira i trideset mornara. Brodogradilište koje je izgradilo brod prestaje sa radom 1994. godine. Padom komunizma te nemogućnosti održavanja i popravaka broda, jedinicu raspuštaju 2006. godine.

      In 1958 the patrol boat RPC Oberst Brecht was commissioned as a naval squadron of the Army to patrol the Danube in protection of the country's neutrality. The larger vessel RPB Niederösterreich was also commissioned 12 years later. The squadron comprised two officers and thirty men. The company which built the vessels closed in 1994. With the fall of Communism and the inability to maintain and repair the vessels, the squadron was disbanded in 2006.

ARMY CLOTHING SUPPLY    OPSKRBA VOJNOM ODJEĆOM    Heeresbekleidungsanstalt

      Vojni centar za odjeću (Die Heeresbekleidungsanstalt) u Brunnu na Brdu dizajnira i razvija razne modele osobne opreme austrijskih vojnika. Testiraju upotrebljivost nebrojenih proizvoda i materijala za opskrbu vojnih odjela opremom. Otpornost robe se testira u vlastitim laboratorijama. Glavni kriteriji su otpornost na vlagu, čvrstoća, postojanost boje i postojanost prilikom pranja.

      The Army Clothing Institute in Brunn am Gebirge designs and develops various models for the personal equipment of Austrian soldiers. It tests countless products and materials for their usability and supplies the army departments with finished equipment. Garments are tested for their resilience in the in-house test laboratory. Moisture resistance, tear resistance, color fastness and wash resistance are the decisive criteria.

MILITARY TRAINING AREAS  VOJNI POLIGONI    Truppenübungsplatz

      Nasuprot terenima za obuku u sklopu kasarni, vojni poligoni (Truppenübungsplatz) su veća zemljišta u državnom vlasništvu koja omogućuju vojnicima, svih grana oružanih snaga i tipova jedinica, borbene treninge u realističnim uvjetima sa bojevom municijom i ako je potrebno sa paljbom sa vanjskih vatrenih položaja.

      In contrast to on-site training areas, military training areas (TrÜbPl) are larger, state-owned land areas for military use with accommodation for the training troops ("military camps") and with facilities that enable soldiers of all branches of the armed forces and types of troops to provide realistic combat training with training and combat ammunition, if necessary from outside firing positions.

MEDICAL CENTRE WEST    MEDICINSKI CENTAR ZAPAD    Sanitätszentrum West

      U sastavu Medicinskog centra zapad (Sanitätszentrum West) nalazi se obučna četa za obuku bolničara i sanitetskih podoficira te terenski sanitet. Terenska ambulanta je u miru stacionarna vojna bolnica sa specijalističkim ambulantama i odjelom u poslovnoj zgradi Feldmaršala Conrada u Innsbrucku. U slučaju vojnih operacija ili krize, terenska ambulanta može se brzo premjestiti kako bi osigurala medicinske potrepštine vojnicima ili za humanitarne operacije. Na kraju prenamjene Medicinski centar Zapad bi trebao biti pozicioniran kao vojna bolnica u zapadnoj Austriji.

      The Medical Center West (Sanitätszentrum West)  includes the training company for the training of paramedics and medical non-commissioned officers as well as the field ambulance. In times of peace, the field ambulance is a stationary military hospital with specialist ambulances and a ward in the office building of Field Marshal Conrad in Innsbruck. In the event of an operation or crisis, the field ambulance can be quickly relocated to provide medical supplies to your own soldiers or for humanitarian operations. At the end of the conversion, the Medical Center West should be positioned as a military hospital in western Austria.
