Patrola helikoptera
zračnih snaga sastoji se od pet helikoptera Eurocopter EC-120 'Colibrí',
od kojih svaki pilotiraju dva časnika, sa sjedištem u zračnoj bazi
Armilla i Ala 78, Granada. |

Iris-T „infracrvena“ zrak-zrak raketa (Infra Red Imaging System
Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled) je program razvoja i izrade rakete
krtakog dometa pod njemačkim vodstvom. 1995. godine Njemačka je
najavila razvojni program u suradnji sa Grčkom, Italijom, Norveškom,
Švedskom i Kanadom. Kasnije je Kanada izašla iz programa, dok se
2003. godine pridružuje Španjolska. Njemačke avio-snage su prve
rakete dobile 05. 12. 2005. „Dioba“ izrade rakete u postocima
iznosi: Njemačka 46%, Italija 19%, Švedska 18%, Grčka 13% i 4%
podjeljeno između Norveške i Kanade. |

The IRIS-T (Infra Red Imaging System Tail/Thrust Vector-Controlled)
is a Geramn-led program to develop a short-range infrared homing
air-to-air missile. In 1995, Germany announced the IRIS-T
development program, in collaboration with Greece, Italy, Norway,
Sweden and Canada. Canada later dropped out, while in 2003 Spain
joined as a partner for procurement.
The German Air Force took first delivery of the missile on 5
December 2005. Workshare arrangements for IRIS-T development are:
Germany 46%, Italy 19%, Sweden 18%, Greece 13% and 4% split
between Canada and Norway. |

Španjolska mornarica (na Španjolskom, Armada Española) je dio
Španjolskih oružanih snaga i jedna je od najstarijih aktivnih mornarica
na svijetu. Moderna španjolska mornarica vuče svoje korijene još iz pred
kolumbovskog perioda. Podređena šefu mornaričkog štaba u Madridu,
mornarica je podijeljena u 4. zone: zona Cantabarian sa sjedištem u El
Feroll-u na Atlantskoj obali, zona Straits u San Fernadu blizu Cadiza,
Mediternska u Cartageni te Kanarska sa centrom u Las Palmasu na otocima
Velik Kanari. |

The Spanish
Armada (in
Spanish, Armada Española) is the maritime arm of the Spanish
Military,
one of oldest active naval forces in the world. The modern Spanish
Armada's roots date back far before the discovery of America. Subordinate
to the Spanish Chief of Naval Staff, with his headquarters in Madrid, were
four zone commands: the Cantabrian Maritime Zone with its headquarters at
El Feroll on the Atlantic coast; the Straits Maritime Zone with its
headquarters at San Fernando near Cadiz; the Mediterranean Maritime Zone
with its headquarters at Cartagena; and the Canary Islands Maritime Zone
with its headquarters at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. |

Marinci (Infantería de Marina) su mornarička
pješadija Španjolske mornarice. Marinaca ima oko 11.500 i podjeljeni su
u dvije grupe: jedni čuvaju baze a drugi su namjenjeni za ofenzivne
aktivnosti. Uz svaki od mornaričkih štabova je stacioniran po jedan
bataljon marinaca. Grupe (jedinice po veličini „na pola puta“ između
bataljona i regimente(puka)) su stacionirane u Madridu i Las Palmasu na
Kanarima. Jedan „Tercio“ (flota – regimenta) je uvijek u stanju
pripravnosti u bazi San Fernando. U operemu i naoružanje su uključeni
laki tenkovi, oklopni transporteri, samohodna artiljerija, razne rakete
itd... |

The Infanteria de Marina are the marine infantry
of the Spanish Navy, they have a strength of 11,500 troops and are
divided into base defense forces and landing forces. One of the three
base defense battalions is stationed with each of the Navy headquarters.
"Groups" (midway between battalions and regiments) are stationed in
Madrid and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Tercio (fleet - regiment
equivalent) is available for immediate embarkation and based out of San
Fernando. Its principal weapons include light tanks, armored personnel
vehicles, self-propelled artillery, and TOW and Dragon antitank
missiles. |
