*Brigada
je viša taktička vojna jedinica združenih
rodova
kopnene vojske,
obično se sastoji od tri do šest
bojni,
ovisno o vojskama, razdoblju, zadaćama i misijama. Brigada može biti u
sastavu više jedinice - divizije (zbora),
a često je samostalna i operativno nezavisna. Niža postrojba od brigade je
bojna, a tradicionalno pukovnija.
Jačina brigade ovisi o namjeni i naoružanju. |
A brigade is a senior tactical military unit of the combined
branches of the land army, usually consisting of three to six
battalions, depending on the armies, period, tasks, and missions. A
brigade can be part of a higher unit - a division (corps), and it is
often independent and operationally independent. A lower unit than a
brigade is a battalion, and traditionally a regiment. The brigade
has in the past been commanded by brigadier generals, but in most
modern armies the brigade is commanded by officers with the rank of
brigadier. The brigade can have from 1500 to 5000 soldiers. It is
somewhat larger or equal to the regiments, which in modern armies
have largely lost their significance, and have been largely replaced
by brigades. Depending on the composition and basic weapons, the
brigade can be: guard, infantry, armored, mountain, light assault
and others. The strength of the brigade depends on the purpose and
armament. |
