Kopnena vojska Novog Zelanda (na maorskom Ngāti Tumatauenga, Pleme Boga rata) je sastavni dio Oružanih snaga Novog Zelanda i sastoji se od 4500 vojnika i oko 2500 civilnog osoblja. New Zealand Army (Maori: Ngāti Tumatauenga, Tribe of the God of war), is the land armed force of the New Zealand military and comprises around 4,500 regular personnel and 2,500 non-regulars and civilians. The NZ Army logo has been altered to include a traditional Maori hand combat weapon called a Taiaha, and has the words Ngāti Tumatauenga below. St. Edward's Crown is also on the New Zealand coat of arms.
The New Zealand Army is commanded by the Chief of Army (Chief of the General Staff until 2002), who is a major general or two-star appointment. The Chief of Army has responsibility for raising, training and sustaining those forces necessary to meet agreed government outputs. For operations, the Army's combat units fall under the command of the Land Component Commander, who is on the staff of the COMJFNZ at Headquarters Joint Forces New Zealand. Forces under the Land Component Commander include the 1st Brigade, Training and Doctrine Command, and the Joint Support Group (including health, military police).

The Royal New Zealand Artillery Regiment is an artillery regiment of the New Zealand Army. It is actually a military administrative corps and can consist of several regiments. This nomenclature derives from its heritage as an offshoot of the Royal Artillery of the British Army. In its current form, it was established in 1947 by merging the regular and volunteer artillery corps in New Zealand. In 1958, in recognition of the services of the regiment, it was named the Royal Regiment of New Zealand Artillery.

CORPS of ROYAL NZ ENGINEERS NZ KRALJEVSKI INŽINJERIJSKI KORPUS

The Corps of Royal New Zealand Engineers is the administrative corps of the New Zealand Army responsible for military engineering. The role of the Engineers is to assist in maintaining friendly forces' mobility, deny freedom of movement to the enemy, and provide general engineering support. The corps has been involved in numerous conflicts over the course of its history including World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and the war in Afghanistan. The corps consists of a single regiment, 2nd Engineer Regiment, primarily based at Linton Military Camp near Palmerston North.

The Royal New Zealand Signals Corps (RNZSigs) provides, co-ordinates and operates the communications networks of the New Zealand Army. The role of RNZSigs is to support other Arms by providing Communication Information System required for Command and Control of Units, Formations and Administrative installations in a theater of Operations and in the New Zealand support area. Modern signal equipment is essential to the army, demanding skilled operators and technicians.

ROYAL NZ INFANTRY REGIMENT KRALJEVSKA NZ PJEŠADIJSKA REGIMENTA

Kraljevska novozelandska pješadijska regimenta (RNZIR) je glavna borbena jedinica regularne novozelandske vojske. Formirana je 09. 01. 1947. godine kao dio novostvorenog pješadijskog korpusa sa samo jednim pješadijskim bataljonom. Danas se Regimenta sastoji od 3 bataljona: 1. mehaniziranog, "originalnog" formiranog 1947, 2/1 bataljon, laka pješadija i trećeg, formiranog 1999. koji bi se, u slučaju potrebe, popunjavao jedinicama Teritorijalne obrane.



The Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment is the main combat unit in the regular New Zealand Army. It was formed January 9, 1947 as the New Zealand Regiment with a single infantry battalion as part of the newly created infantry corps. Today, the RNZIR has three battalions: 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment (mechanised infantry) - the original battalion formed in 1947. 2/1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment (light infantry) - originally the 2nd Battalion, this was given its current name in 1973. 3/1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment - formed as a cadre in 1999 to be mobilised using Territorial Force infantry units as needed.

The Royal New Zealand Dental Corps (RNZDC) is a corps of the New Zealand Army. The corps was initially formed on 7 November 1915 as the New Zealand Dental Corps. Today, the corps consists of full-time and part-time commissioned officers and soldiers who are employed in a tri-service environment, using their specialist skills and knowledge as dental officers, dental hygienists and dental assistants. Throughout the corps' history, personnel have been deployed to various operational theatres. Aside from service during World War I and World War II, the corps has deployed personnel in support of a number of operations including most recently in Afghanistan.

The New Zealand Intelligence Corps (NZIC) analyses information from a variety of sources and provides commanders with intelligence on such things as enemy locations, capabilities and intentions. Corps personnel also provide advice on Field Security on operations. The NZIC is one of the smallest corps in the New Zealand Army. It was formed in 1942, apparently disbanded in 1947, and reformed in 1985. The NZIC school is known as the School of Military Intelligence and Security currently located in Palmerston North. The NZIC cap badge adopted in 1994 consists of bronze fern crossed leaves under the Queen's Crown, with "New Zealand" and "Intelligence Corps" appearing on two separate scrolls.

The Royal New Zealand Corps of Transport (RNZCT) was a corps within the New Zealand Army that provided logistical support to combat and combat support elements of the Army. The Royal New Zealand Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RNZEME) was a New Zealand Army Corps comprising Army trained tradesmen (craftsmen) who repaired Army equipment wherever New Zealand Forces served. The New Zealand Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (NZEME) were created as a separate corps in New Zealand on 1 September 1946 under the control of the Director of Mechanical Engineering. Due to New Zealand Defence Force restructuring, in 1996 the RNZEME was amalgamated along with the Royal New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps (RNZAOC) and Royal New Zealand Corps of Transport (RNZCT) into the Royal New Zealand Army Logistic Regiment (RNZALR).
