      Brazilska vojska je najbrojnija u Latinskoj Americi. Temeljna ustrojstvena jedinica Kopnene vojske je brigada. Brigade Snaga za strateško djelovanje i jedinice Komande za specijalne operacije kopnene snage smatraju se uvijek spremnima za upućivanje u akciju. Kako bi konvencionalnim jedinicama omogućila kombiniranje konvencionalnih operacija i specijalnih operacija, vojska je odlučila stvoriti jedinice za specijalne operacije unutar konvencionalnih jedinica: PELOPES.

      Svaki pješadijski bataljon, konjički puk i artiljerijska grupa moraju imati svoj vod za specijalne operacije. U slučaju konvencionalnih pješadijskih jedinica Kopnene vojske, bataljoni određuju 1. pješadijski vod 1. čete ovih jedinica kao PELOPES. U nekim jedinicama Kopnene vojske, vodovi za specijalna djelovanja imaju drugačija imena, ali misija i način upotrebe uvijek su isti. Riječ je o slučaju "Podjedinice za specijalna djelovanja" (Subunidade de Operações Especiais, "SUOPES") u 19. lovačkom bataljonu (19.º Batalhão de Caçadores (19.º BC)).

      The Brazilian Army has the largest contingent in Latin America. The basic organizational unit of the Army is the Brigade. The Strategic Employment Force Brigades and the Special Operations Command units are considered ready-to-deploy by the Land Force. To enable conventional units to combine conventional operations and special operations, the Army decided to create organic Special Operations fractions within conventional units: the PELOPES.

      Every Infantry Battalion, Cavalry Regiment and Artillery Group must have its Special Operations Platoon. In the case of the Army's conventional infantry units, the battalions designate the 1st rifle platoon of the 1st company of these units as PELOPES. In some Army units, special operations platoons have other names, but the mission and mode of use are always the same. This is the case of the "Subunit of Special Operations" ("SUOPES"), denomination in the 19th Battalion of Hunters.

      Oznaka je za maskirnu borbenu bluzu i kombinezon za održavanje. Ako nositelj ima jednu značku, pozicionirana je iznad pličice s imenom. Ako vojnik ima više od jednog tečaja u ovoj skupini, sljedeća značka se nalazi 10 mm iznad prve oznake. Laminirani bedževi izrađeni su u obliku elipse obično od polivinil klorida (PVC), postupkom vrućeg kalupljenja u sljedećim dimenzijama: širina 80 mm, visina 45 mm sa 3 mm ruba oko cijelog bedža, (slijedi opise i dimenzije metalne oznake).       The Coastal and Anti-Aircraft Artillery badge consists of a laurel and winged coast fort; on the head, the symbol of Artillery; at point, and a rotated star.       Znak se sastoji od okruglog štita promjera 45 mm, crne boje, koji sadrži, u srednjem polju, otvoreni padobran, s naglašenim pločama (u originalu naizmjenično unutra žuta i zelena) i preko konopaca stilizirani padobranski skakač. Uz rub je natpis „ERMÉRCITO BRASILEIRO” „SALTO LIVRE“ (slobodni skakač), u sivoj boji. Ispod toga je traka sa natpisom  “ADVANÇADO” također ispisano sivo na crnoj podlozi. Oznaka se nosi na kamuflažnim bluzama i kombinezonima na prsima, na visini koja odgovara sredini džepova na bluzama službene uniforme.

      The insignia is consisting of a round shield with a diameter of 45 mm, black, containing, in the middle field, an open parachute, with accented panels (in the original, alternating yellow and green inside) and over the ropes a stylized parachutist. Along the edge is the inscription "ERMÉRCITO BRASILEIRO" "SALTO LIVRE" (free jumper), in gray. Below that is a strip with the words "ADVANÇADO" also written in gray on a black background.       Značka naprednog planinarskog tečaja se sastoji od okruglog štita emajliranog zlatom, sa središtem, u nebesko plavoj pozadini, planinom u sivoj boji, na čijem je vrhu bijela zvijezda. Uz rub nalazi se natpis “GUIA DE MOUNTANHA” u zlatnoj boji, u pozadini zelena, a na dnu natpis “ADVANÇADO” u žuto-zlatnoj boji preko poluruba u zelenoj boji. Može se nositi uz značke osnovnog planinarskog tečaja i/ili sa značkom osnovne etape „Borbenog planinara“. Maksimalne dimenzije: 3,5 cm x 3,5 cm dok je promjer glavnog kruga: 3 cm. Težina je približno 10 grama. Oznaka je metalna i emajlirana, a na zadnjoj strani ima 2 igle za pričvršćivanje na uniformu (sa 2 plastične kopče).

      The badge of the Advanced Mountaineering Course consists of a round gold-enamelled shield, in the center of which, on a sky-blue background, is a gray mountain, topped by a white star. It can be worn with the badges of the Basic Mountaineering Course and/or with the Mountain Fighter Basic Stage badge. Maximum dimensions: 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm while the diameter of the main circle: 3 cm. The weight is approximately 10 grams. The tag is metal and enameled, and on the back side there are 2 pins for attaching to the uniform (with 2 plastic clips).

WETLAND ADAPTATION TRENING  OBUKA ZA MOČVARNE TERENE  Pantanal

      Močvarna brazilska regija Pantanal je "posudila" ime ovoj obuci. Izvezen na maslinastozelenom polju, sadrži natpis “PANTANAL”, žuto-zlatne boje, rub polukružne trake izvezen je 100% poliester 120 koncem, također zlatno-žute boje. Postoje verzije izvezene srebrno-bijelim koncem. Dopušteno ju je nositi istovremeno s oznakom stažiranja za instruktora u Centru za obuku u Pantanalu (CIOpPan).

      Pantanal is a wetland region within Brazil which name was use for those kind of training. Patch consists of a semicircular embroidered band 120 mm long and 30 mm in width (radius equal to 80 mm). Embroidered at an olive-green field, contains the inscription “PANTANAL”, in yellow-gold, the edge of the semicircular band being embroidered in 100% polyester 120 thread, also in golden-yellow color. There are versions embroidered in silver-white thread. It is allowed to use, simultaneously, with the Badge of Internships carried out at the Training Center Operations Instruction in the Pantanal (CIOpPan).

      Oznaka se sastoji od polukružne izvezene trake duljine 120 mm i širine 30 mm (radijus jednak 80 mm); Riječ je o izvezenoj znački u maslinastozelenom polju s natpisom „AEROMÓVEL“, a rub polukružne trake, širine 2 mm, izvezen je koncem od 100% poliestera 120 zlatnožute boje. Postoje i verzije na crnoj ili maskirnoj podlozi.
