      Prva pješadijska regimenta "Patricios" (Regimiento de Infantería 1 "Patricios") je najstarija i najprestižnija regimenta argentinske vojske. najčešće se koristi skraćeni naziv "regimenta Patricios" (Regimiento de Patricios). Od 1990. ovajedinica postaje zraćno-desantna pješadijska jedinica. Regimenta je osnovana kao Legion Patricia 1806. godine od stanovnika Buenos Airesa za borbu protiv invazije Britanaca na Rio de la Platu. Tako da je ova jedinica osnovana i prije osamostaljenja Argentine. Učestvovali su i "Majskoj revoluciji", Argentinsko-Brazilskom ratu, ratu trojne alijanse, borbama protiv narodne revolucionarne armije, "Prljavom ratu" (građanski rat) te u borbama za Falklanske otoke.

      The 1st Patricians' Infantry Regiment (Regimiento de Infantería 1 "Patricios") is oldest and one of the most prestigious regiments of the Argentine Army. The title is often shortened to the Patricians' Regiment (Regimiento de Patricios). Since the 1990s the regiment has been designated as air assault infantry. The regiment was formed as the Legión Patricia from inhabitants of Buenos Aires in 1806 to fight against the British invasions of the Rio de la Plata. The regiment therefore existed prior to Argentine independence. The regiment also fought in the May Revolution, theArgentina-Brazil War, the Battleof Caseros, the War of the Trple Alliance, the conflict with the People's revolutionary Army, the Dirty War, and the Falklands War.

     Nacionalna žandarmerija Argentine (Gendarmería Nacional Argentina; GNA) je ujedno i žandarmerija i korpus granične straže. U svojem sastavu ima oko 12.000 pripadnika. Uz osiguranje granice vrše i ostale policijske poslove. Organizaciono su podijeljeni u četiri regionalna zapovjedništva i to Campo de Mayo,Cordoba, Rosario i Bahia Blanca. Nacionalni kongres osniva žandarmeriju 1938. godine sa glavnom zadaćom održavanja reda u graničnim područjima.

     The Argentine National Gendarmerie (Gendarmería Nacional Argentina; GNA) is the gendarmerie and corps of border guards of Argentina. The Argentine National Gendarmerie has a strength of 12,000. The Gendarmerie is primarily a frontier guard force but also fulfils other important roles. The force functions from four regional headquarters at Campo de Mayo, Córdoba, Rosario, and Bahía Blanca. The Gendarmerie was created in 1938 by the National Congres. They were particularly tasked with providing security in isolated and sparsely populated frontier regions which had only been settled relatively recently. In many senses the Gendarmerie may still be considered an adjunct of the Argentine Army.
