      Uz crnu svečanu uniformu se nose metalna dugmad sa oznakama različitih grana ili službi. Generali nose specijalnu zlatnu dugmad. Na dugmadi se nalaze razni motivi, svaka služba ili grana ima svoje oznake. Pazi se i da su dugmad prišivena u ispravnom položaju. Proizvode se u dvije veličine. Veća imaju promjer od 23 milimetara, a manja od 17 milimetara.

      With black full dress, buttons in metalcolour of the differnet branches and arm-of-service are worn. Generals wear special golden buttons. The buttons have difernet motives for the different arms-of-service and branches, and worn with the motives mounted correctly. The buttons are manufactured in two sizes. Large, with diameter 23 mm and small, with diameter 17 mm.

      Sredinom šezdesetih, dugmad za svečanu uniform M/58 dobija novi izgled. A počinju se i koristiti i na službenim uniformama, gdje zamjenjuju dotadašnju dugmad koja je bila brončano oksidirana. Proširuje se i broj motiva, jer neke službe dobijaju svoju dugmad, pa tako, na primjer Ženski korpus (KIF Kvinner i Forsvaret) dobija zlatno dugme sa četverolisnim motivom.

      In the mid sixties, the buttons for full dress M/58 were made with a new finish. From being worn with the full dress only, they also replace the bronze oxidized buttons worn with service uniform and peaked cap. The range of motives was expanded too. Amongst others, the KIF (Women with the Armed Forces) got their own golden button with motive of a quatrefoil.

      Od 1800-tih lav je motiv na dugmadi uniformi pješadije, Vojne akademije te Garde Njegovog Kraljevskog Visočanstva. Postojale su razne varijante, kako u finiširanju, obliku, površini i materijalima koji su korišteni. I sam je lav prošao kroz brojne promjene izgleda tokom svih tih godina.

      The lion has from the 1800s been the motive on the buttons for the Infantry, Military Academy and the HM King’s Guard. There have been variations in the finish, both with the shape, surface and material. The lion has also gone through a number of changes throughout the years.
